Thermal imaging technology uncovers items that would probably not be found on home inspections with out this style of camera. The picture below shows an attic scuttle that is not insulated. In the blue area of the picture you can see the house is being cooled to just over 75 degrees. In the red area you can see 88 degree heat infiltrating through the ceiling because there is no insulation over the attic scuttle.
